How we write our travel guides

Who publishes the guides on this site, where their facts come from, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Every guide in the Explera travel journal is published by the Explera Travel Desk, the travel team of Explera Vacations Private Limited in Surat, Gujarat. The guides exist to help travellers from India plan trips, visas and paperwork with accurate, practical information — and to say clearly what they cannot promise.

Who publishes the guides?

Guides are published under the name Explera Travel Desk by Explera Vacations Private Limited (CIN U63030GJ2019PTC108425), an IATA-certified travel agency based at the Surat Diamond Bourse. Our accreditations, memberships and registration numbers are listed on the accreditations page, and what customers say about us is collected on the reviews page. The company’s own background is on the about page.

Where do the facts come from?

Visa rules, entry requirements, fees and travel regulations are checked against official sources wherever they exist: embassy and consulate websites, government visa portals, official visa application centres, airline conditions of carriage and national tourism boards. When those sources disagree or change often, the guide says so and tells the reader to confirm the current rule before travelling.

  • Prices are ranges, not quotes. Fares, fees and costs move constantly, so guides give indicative ranges and never invent a precise figure. A firm price comes only from a written quotation.
  • Rules are dated by the reader, not by us. Immigration and security rules change without notice. Guides describe how a rule works and point to where it can be checked, rather than presenting a list as permanently current.
  • Medical and legal questions go to professionals. Guides on health, medication, altitude or legal status explain the practical travel side and leave diagnosis, dosage and legal advice to doctors and qualified advisers.

How are the photographs chosen?

Photographs in the guides are licensed stock images. A photo is captioned as a place only when it genuinely shows that place; if no authentic photograph of a destination is available, the guide uses a plain branded background rather than a picture of somewhere else.

What do the dates on a guide mean?

Each guide shows the date it was first published. When a guide is materially revised — a rule changed, a section rewritten, a correction made — it also shows an Updated date. That date does not move for cosmetic edits, so a recent update date always means the content itself was revised.

Do the guides promote Explera’s own services?

Yes, openly. Most guides end by explaining how our travel desk can help with the trip they describe, and links to our own visa, flight and holiday pages are labelled as such. The advice in a guide does not depend on booking with us: the steps, rules and cautions are the same whoever you travel with.

How do I report a mistake?

If you find something out of date or wrong in any guide, email holidays@explerainc.com with the page address and what needs correcting, or use the contact page. We review every report, correct confirmed errors promptly and mark the guide as updated.

Is a guide a substitute for official advice?

No. Guides are general travel information, not legal, immigration, medical or financial advice. Visa decisions are made only by the issuing government, and the official source always takes precedence over anything written here.
